It opens with the haunting "A Brief Repose" from Patrick O'Hearn's 1988 release, "Rivers Gonna Rise" and flows on from there almost seamlessly for almost an hour. There are some of the brightest moments from the Windham Hill catalog represented here. Besides three songs from Patrick O'Hearn, we are treated to selected compositions by Tim Story, Ravi Shankar, Will Ackerman, Mark Isham, Nightnoise, Liz Story, Shadowfax, David Arkenstone, and Yanni. The selections work together in a very cohesive soothing manner. The album gently slows down mental chatter, releasing stress and stimulating the imagination. This is a very relaxing and creative way to utilize meditation, which is the most valuable tool to well being. As you incorporate this album into your meditations, you can greatly inhance its positive impact by becoming more aware of the life-force within and without. Highly recommended. Very effective!
