Karda Estra
'A Winter in Summertime'
(No Image NICD12)

Karda Estra member, Richard Wilema worked as a founder of the band 'Lives and Times', which produced 7 albums released between 1992 and 1997. He and the vocalist from 'Lives and Times', Ileesha Bailey created this project which was based on a book on old churches and excavations. The duo spent several months piecing together 'A Winter in Summertime', resulting in a sonic experiment of large proportions, dark moods and multiple personalities. Arty, interesting and very nicely executed, these fragments make for an oddly cohesive whole. The CD contains seven compositions that have a strong enough style to make it all fit together cohesively. The album would be a definite treat for any fan of Orb, Eno, Glenn Branca, or soundtrack scores.
